As part of the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025 project, ZRC SAZU researchers shed light on the eventful pasts, diverse presents and possible futures of the Goriška/Gorizia Region from various disciplinary viewpoints. The writers’ perspectives on languages, traditions, heritages, literary and book production, wars and the struggle for coexistence, changing borders, the building of a new city, past and contemporary migrations, the green and the modernist city, chrysolations, alternative and European pasts and the future of the Goriška/Gorizia Region take you beyond what is immediately visible and apparent, around corners and past the obstacles of the possible. The reflections are accompanied by presentations of the resonant artworks of the month and their authors. The texts are in Slovenian, Italian, Friulian and English.
