The lake-dwelling phenomenon

Authors: Katia F. Achino, Anton Velušček
Year: 2022

This book explores the pile-dwelling phenomenon from an innovative perspective: it takes into account and try to reconstruct the formation and deformation processes that take place and cooperate in creating the archaeological record that we undiscover after millenia, mainly focusing on European case studies. The second part of the book is instead devoted to explore the pile-dwelling phenomenon within the Ljubljansko barje in Slovenia, redrawing the main steps of the research, the discoveries and shed potential new light on some still open questions.
