Edited by: Marina Gržinić, Jovita Pristovšek
Year: 2024

The catalogue is the result of the cooperation between Ljubljana and Pforzheim in the presentation of the exhibition PUNK. SUBCULTURE. SOCIALISM. ARCHIVES OF THE FUTURE. PHOTOGRAPHY FROM SLOVENIA. The exhibition marks a significant moment in the cultural exchange between Slovenia and the global European and worldwide context. The transition from the original exhibition entitled “Slovenian Punk & Photography” at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana (5. 12. 2023–11. 2. 2024), curated by Marina Gržinić, to its immediate international premiere at A.K.T; in Pforzheim, Germany, represents a bridge-building between cultural narratives and artistic expressions.

The connection between Ljubljana and Pforzheim stands for a convergence of artistic visions and a celebration of pluriversality in the European cultural landscape. It not only showcases the artistic and cultural history of Slovenia, former Yugoslavia, and former Eastern Europe but also promotes interdisciplinary mechanisms of empowerment and understanding on a global level.
