Two Striccius' collections of German songs from 1588 and 1593, and one motet are presented for the first time since the original printing. The collection Neue teutsche Lieder contains 21 compositions mostly of spiritual purport, written for four high voices (school boys' choir). Der erste Theil newer teutscher Gesänge contains 26 mostly secular compositions; more than half of them are written for five parts (high and low voices).
