Gradivo za slovensko zgodovino v arhivih in bibliotekah Vidma (Udine) 1270–1405

Author: Božo Otorepec
Year: 1995

Material for Slovenian History in the Archives and Libraries of Udine 1270-1405 is a collection of extracts from the notary records of Friulian notaries, which refer to people and places from the territory of today's Slovenia. Friulian medieval sources mainly reflect the ecclesiastical affiliation of part of the Slovenian territory to the Patriarchate of Aquileia, as well as the lively trade contacts that took place between the two territories. In the years 1971-1975, in a total of approximately three months of archival research, the author examined more than 1,000 notary books and extracted relevant information from them. The work is a valuable tool for researching Slovenian medieval history.
